The emergence of more professionals into the leadership positions of the nation’s bureaucracy has continued to improve and stabilize the functioning of government at the federal level.

The Permanent Secretary and Secretary to the Police Service Commission, Nebeolisa Anako, an Engineer, said this today, Thursday, February 27th 2020, in Abuja when he received in audience the Chairman and Executive Members of the Nigerian Society of Engineers, Abuja branch.

He stated that Engineers should continuously improve themselves and be ready to work to assist the administration in both technical and administrative situations.

The new Permanent Secretary pledged his commitment to the improvement of the fortunes of the Commission including the welfare of Staff.

He thanked the visiting delegation and said his doors will be open to them at all times as the Commission will be ready to tap into their wealth of professional expertise.

Earlier, the Chairman of the Branch, Chief Chinasaokwu Okolie said the delegation were at the Police Service Commission to express their solidarity with one of their own who has climbed to the apex in the public service.

He noted that it was not easy for professionals especially Engineers to rise to the position of Permanent Secretary and prayed that God will give him the grace and enablement to make a success of the new and challenging assignment.

Engineer Okoli pledged the support of the Abuja Branch of the Society to the new Permanent Secretary.
