Functions of the Commission Council Secretariat
The Division is saddled with the responsibility of managing all the statutory meetings of the Commission
and other matters affecting Members of the Commission.
2.10.1.1 Functions of the Commission Council Secretariat
i Preparation and circulation of documents for the Commission’s Plenary, Operations and
Emergency Meetings;
ii Ensure effective administration of the activities of the Board of the Commission and its
Standing Committees;
iii Prepares DTA and other allowances for non-permanent/part-time Members of the Commission
coming from outside Abuja for the Commission’s meetings;
iv Prepare and compile all signed/endorsed Minutes of Meetings yearly to put together as a
Compendium;
v Record the proceedings of Commission Plenary Meetings, Operations Meetings, Police
Recruitment Board Meetings between the Management Board of the Commission, Courtesy
visits and other meetings attended by the Management Board and the production of Minutes
of such Meetings/Reports;
vi Produce and circulate a summary of the resolution from the Commission’s Meetings to various
Departments and Units for implementation.
vii Produce a Compendium of Commission Meetings;
viii Collation and production of Handing-Over-Notes for the Honourable Chairman and the
ix Secretary to the Commission;
x Draft letters as may be directed by the Chairman and Secretary to the Commission;
xi Perform any other duty(ies) as may be assigned by the Chairman, Secretary to the Commission or Board
